SUMMARY:2026 REMEDi4ALL Hackathon
DESCRIPTION:Are you an early career researcher (ECR) who wants to delve into drug repurposing?\n  \nJoin us for the third REMEDi4ALL Hackathon\, 6-11 September 2026\, held at Hotel Checkin Montserrat\, near Barcelona\, Spain. \nThe REMEDi4ALL Repurposing Hackathon is designed to help early career researchers learn by doing. Join a small team of international trainees keen to learn about the repurposing pathway on a week-long residential course where you aim to plan the development of a repurposing candidate for a specific patient community.  \nWho is the Hackathon for?\n\nStudents and researchers in the early stages of their career up to 2 years post-doc\nIndividuals with an interest in drug repurposing\nIndividuals with an excellent scientific track record\nPrevious experience in the drug repurposing field will be considered a plus\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat will you learn?\nThe REMEDi4ALL Hackathon aims to teach participants how to: \n\nUse computational tools to generate repurposing candidates suitable for a defined indication\nNarrow down potential repurposed drug options tailored to a particular indication\nIdentify needs and knowledge gaps in a repurposing project\, helping to define the path for a drug candidate\nWork together with other ECRs to complete a repurposing challenge\n\n\n  \n\nTraining format\n\n\n\nIn-person\, residential training for 15 participants\nAdvance registration required\nSmall teams of early career researchers work on a project throughout the week\nSupport through lectures and guidance of REMEDi4ALL experts\, and external advisers\, including patient experts\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nInterested in learning more? SUMMARY:Improved Patient\, Carer and Clinician Involvement in EU HTA from Hungary
DESCRIPTION:The Hungarian Health Economics Association (META) is pleased to invite patients\, carers\, patient organisation representatives\, clinicians\, HTA professionals and other interested stakeholders to its next online webinar. \nThe participation of Hungarian patients and clinical experts in EU-level Joint Clinical Assessments and Joint Scientific Consultations has so far remained limited\, which may reduce the local relevance and uptake of EU HTA outputs and could also hinder meaningful patient and expert participation in national HTA processes. \nThe presentation section will explain how patients\, carers and clinicians can contribute to EU HTA\, how potential contributors are identified\, and how they can prepare for and improve their chances of being selected for these roles. \nConfirmed speakers: \n\nJulie Spony\, representing the European Commission’s DG SANTE\nJulien Delaye\, Brussels Centre for Collaboration in Health\n\nTheir presentations will be followed by a moderated discussion with participants. \nThe event will also launch a public consultation on a Hungarian-language practical guide being developed by HHEA. The document explains the available opportunities for involvement\, the respective roles and responsibilities\, how potential contributors are identified and selected\, and the key practical considerations for preparing to participate effectively. The guide is so far based on the EU HTA Regulation and related methodological and procedural documentation\, complemented by internationally recognised guidance\, competency frameworks and good practices. The Hungarian community’s contribution would help ensure that\, alongside the relevant European regulatory and methodological requirements\, the guide adequately reflects Hungarian experience and the practical needs of patients\, carers and clinical experts. \nLearn more and register here.

SUMMARY:How do you design a clinical study that is registration-ready?
DESCRIPTION:A study that is suitable for publication or guideline development is not automatically suitable for marketing authorisation. Hellen Houlleberghs\, Orfenix’ s clinical director will discuss what changes when the goal is registration of a product instead of just a publication. She will discuss what changes including: study design and endpoints\, study preparation\, CTIS readiness\, GCP\, IMP logistics\, common pitfalls\, timelines\, and post-study obligations. \nParticipants will also receive the “From protocol to registration readiness scan”\, a practical tool to identify potential gaps in their own study. \nVisit the website for more information: https://orfenix.com/webinar-how-do-you-design-a-clinical-study-that-is-registration-ready/ \n Registration link: https://events.teams.microsoft.com/event/b00fe972-6382-435a-8b8c-19b6abf772f0@5b8666c1-d3a4-4d81-841c-691b9585ca11
