REMEDi4ALL Funders Network Meets Policy

As in previous editions, #iDR26 will feature a pre-conference meeting dedicated to the Funders Network on Monday 11 May. 

This interactive workshop will bring together research funders and policy-makers to explore push and pull funding mechanisms applied to drug repurposing initiatives.  

Agenda:  

• 12.00-13.00: Lunch  

• 13.00-15.00: Session 1: Push mechanisms (Funders Network & innovative funding models)  

• 15.00-15.30: Break  

• 15.30-17.30: Session 2: Pull mechanisms (Regulatory and pricing & reimbursement policy)  

• 17.30-19.00: Networking drinks  

Aim of the Session  

• Explore combined push–pull funding mechanisms to accelerate drug repurposing.  

• Convene research funders and policy representatives to build shared understanding and alignment.  

• Identify actions funders can take to push drug repurposing forward.  

• Identify pull mechanisms that policymakers can implement (e.g., incentives for industry, regulatory levers).  

• Strengthen collaboration between:   

• REMEDi4All Funders Network  

• REMEDi4All Task Force on Pricing & Reimbursement  

• Policy and regulatory stakeholders
