The REMEDI4ALL Marketplace is designed to bring funders and project developers together in an environment that maximises the chances of a successful and fruitful match.
DEVELOPERS
Developers with promising repurposing projects engage with the REMEDI4ALL team to refine and enhance their projects to a high standard, making sure that key information essential to funders is included, and that extraneous information is kept in reserve. This results in a very concise and targeted pitch that can be presented to a panel of Funders. Where developers are missing information or do not address important issues, they are encouraged to further develop their ideas to reach the high standard that is a key characteristic of the Marketplace.
FUNDERS
From the perspective of the Funder, they can be certain that all projects pitched in the Marketplace are of a high standard and meet key funding criteria (e.g. feasibility, soundness of scientific rationale, strong team etc). Only promising repurposing projects for which a degree of quality control and due diligence, such as project gap analysis, critical path planning, full R&D research plans and project management and execution, has already been exercised by the R4ALL team.
How does the REMEDi4ALL Marketplace work?
The Marketplace process involves the presentation of multiple project pitches in one (online) meeting, with a panel of Funders in attendance. Each pitch is delivered by a member of the R4ALL team with the requisite knowledge and experience to present to a professional standard. The intention is purely to present the projects so that interested Funders can make a decision as to whether they wish to explore further. No commitments to fund or take on a project are required. The presence of multiple Funders has the added benefit that it increases opportunities for joint funding to take place. The panel of funders is drawn from the R4ALL Funders Network, who are already known to each other and will have built closer links within the Network and the broader R4ALL platform generally.
By offering funders the chance to be matched with optimally designed and managed repurposing projects, the REMEDi4ALL marketplace supports and enables the opportunity for end-to end co-funding of projects, enabling faster routes to patients and market.
