The REMEDi4ALL Repurposing Bootcamp is a specialised training programme designed to empower patient representatives with the essential knowledge and tools to drive innovation through drug repurposing. Our mission is to equip you with the skills and expertise needed to lead efforts in identifying and promoting new therapeutic uses for existing drugs, ultimately improving access to effective treatments and transforming patient care.
As part of our learning experience, we offer an in-person bootcamp for patient representatives. The training itself begins at 2 pm on Monday, 2 November, 2026 at the Voco Hotel Montparnasse in Paris, France. We are looking for you
The Bootcamp is targeted to patient representatives affiliated to a patient organisation based in the EU and UK, who are willing to delve into the drug repurposing realm.
- Has a good level of English
- Has an understanding of the drug development process
- Has strong interest in in upskilling themselves into relevant drug repurposing topics
- Is willing to engage in collaborative learning experiences, stimulating discussions and networking opportunities with other stakeholders involved in the drug repurposing field
- Is eager to apply the knowledge gained in drug repurposing, bringing valuable insights and expertise back to their organisation
Our training is structured around three core themes to equip you with the essential knowledge and skills needed for effective drug repurposing:
Find a Repurposing Concept
Learn how to identify and initiate drug repurposing research, including setting up the essential research infrastructure (i.e., model systems, registries, stakeholder engagement etc.) needed for success and explore various methods used in repurposing, including library screenings, natural language processing and ‘omic approaches.

Develop a Repurposing Strategy from Concept to Patient
Learn how to create a comprehensive strategy for advancing repurposed drugs from initial concept to patient access. This includes understanding the prerequisites before starting a repurposing project, navigating key concepts such as on-label versus off-label use and generics, developing a Target Product Profile (TPP), and avoiding common pitfalls in the drug repurposing process. Gain insights into assembling the right team to effectively advance your repurposing project.

Select and Fund Promising Repurposing Projects
Learn how to identify and select high-potential drug repurposing projects. Understand how to evaluate research efforts, choose the right teams, while navigating various funding options to support successful outcomes and deliver significant impact.
