Dr. Violeta Stoyanova-Beninska has recently taken up the position of Senior Scientific Specialist at the Human Division of the European Medicines Agency (EMA). Violeta is currently the Chair of the Regulatory Science Committee (RSC) of the International Rare Disease Research Consortium (IRDiRC). She is the former Chair of the Committee for Orphan Medicinal Products at EMA (COMP) (2018 – 2024) of which she was also a delegate representing The Netherlands (2012 – 2018). She has also been the Chair of the National Scientific and Regulatory Advice at the Medicines Evaluation Board, member of CNS working party and Scientific advice working party at EMA. Violeta is academic supervisor of PhD and master’s students, guest faculty at several universities, guest editor, member of editorial board/reviewer for scientific journals.
