A Global Network with a Shared Mission
Part of REMEDi4ALL, the Funders Network brings together a diverse group of public and private organisations committed to advancing drug repurposing. The network spans 13 countries across three continents, reflecting a uniquely broad and collaborative community. Members have collectively supported more than 600 repurposing projects to date.
The network’s aims to connect funders, reduce fragmentation, and enable more coordinated investment in repurposing efforts, ensuring that promising treatments can move towards patient access faster and more efficiently.
What the REMEDi4ALL White Paper Reveals
The White Paper outlines the structural issues that currently hinder the drug repurposing ecosystem:
- Fragmented funding: gaps between phases delay development and create inefficiencies.
- Knowledge asymmetries: uneven access to expertise limits translational success.
- Narrow funding scope: focus restricted to specific diseases or geographies reduces collaboration and co‑funding opportunities.
