Joanna has had a broad career in translation to date, having held roles in large pharma (Pfizer), consulting (PwC), academia (UCL Translational Research Office), UKRI Medical Research Council and LifeArc. She has experience of therapeutics development in both industrial and academic settings, including advanced therapies and repurposing. In her current role as Head of Funding, she oversees LifeArc’s large grant funding portfolio, which focuses on translational research in rare diseases and global health and infection. Joanna leads a team of Funding Managers with translational experience, who provide support and translational advice to applicants and awardees across the full funding lifecycle, including pre- and post-award
