
Sareema is a clinical pharmacist specialised in oncology and holds an Excellence Master’s Degree in Nanomedicines jointly awarded by Université Paris Cité (France), University of Pavia (Italy), and University of Patras (Greece). She is a certified Pharmacovigilance Specialist from Uppsala Monitoring Centre of Pharmacovigilance.
At ECRIN her focus is on planning, setup, and management of multinational clinical trials in various therapeutic areas. She is also actively involved in pharmacovigilance and clinical safety activities carried out within ECRIN. She is deeply involved in set up and management of EU funded platform trials’ infrastructures. She has contributed to clinical trial set up, management and coordination for several consortiums: Vaccelerate, EU Response, ECRAID-Prime, C4C TREOCAPA. She served as an active member of The Joint Access Advisory Mechanism (JAAM); an entryway for therapeutic European Adaptive Platform Trials in infectious diseases. She lead the tasks related to coordination of sharing safety data across platform trials for EU funded project CoMeCT (The Coordination Mechanism for Cohorts and Trials).
Within REMEDi4ALL, she leads the Work package on Clinical Development and Implementation focused on creating clinical development services platform, to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical development of drug repurposing projects.
