Sini Eskola is working as Director Regulatory Strategy at European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) since February 2014. She has a degree in pharmaceutical sciences (MSc) from the University of Helsinki. In EFPIA, her main focus areas are leading and coordinating regulatory policy and advocacy activities across vast spectrum of topics with emphasis on the regulatory science and EU legislation on medicinal products, including drug repurposing. She has previously worked at AstraZeneca R&D Global Regulatory Affairs in Sweden and prior to that as an Executive Director of Finnish Pharmacists’ Society. She has vast experience as practicing community pharmacist. She is conducting a part-time professional PhD research at the University Utrecht Centre for Pharmaceutical Policy and Regulation and studying Real-World Data and Evidence aspects in medicines development and regulatory decision making. Since 2011 she has been a member of the Executive Committee of Industrial Pharmacy Section of International Pharmaceutical Federation, a member of FIP Technology Forum in 2019-2022 and a member of Data Working Group since 2023.
