Alicia Soler (REMEDi4ALL and EATRIS Scientific Programme Manager) recently presented at the 1st RePo-SUDOE Conference in Guarda, Portugal. Alicia highlighted REMEDi4ALL’s work in developing a European platform for Drug Repurposing and strengthening ties with existing drug repurposing projects across the EU.
RePo-SUDOE is an Interreg EU co-funded project focusing on drug repurposing for effective and accelerated development of medicines in Southwestern Europe. Financed through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), this 24-month, €1.8M regional project aims to convert Southwestern Europe into a European hub for drug repurposing.
As the leader in the development of a patient-centred European platform for Medicines Repurposing, REMEDi4ALL continually seeks to enhance collaboration with projects with shared values across the EU and beyond. In line with this, Alicia Soler presented the REMEDi4ALL project and participated in an open discussion on “European initiatives on Drug Repurposing”.
This event provided an excellent opportunity for various EU-based drug repurposing projects to meet and discuss the medicines repurposing landscape across Europe. REMEDi4ALL looks forward to strengthening collaborations across the EU and beyond to build a sustainable, patient-centred platform for medicines repurposing.
