REMEDi4ALL Funders Network

In October 2023 an international Funders Network was established to maximize the potential of drug repurposing research and contribute to the sustainability of drug development and healthcare. The network connects diverse funding entities – both public and private – from across the globe that are dedicated to advancing drug repurposing initiatives.

The REMEDi4ALL Funders Network provides an inclusive forum where funders are encouraged to collaborate on funding drug repurposing research, share best funding practices and actively engage in conversations surrounding policy matters and potential solutions to enhance the field.

• Funding calls database: An online database, hosted on the REMEDi4ALL website, that contains details on active funding calls and opportunities for drug repurposing projects.
• A practical guide to creating (joint-) funding calls for impactful drug repurposing research: An interactive, comprehensive guide created by REMEDi4ALL for funders and those seeking funding in drug repurposing.
• Framework for judging the project value of repurposed medicines:  This open-source framework aims to support funding decisions, foster collaboration, and align value assessments across stakeholders.
• Training: We are creating a learning space for funders (e.g. modules on how to set up (joint-)calls) and for those who seek funding (modules on how to apply for funding). You can already access the learning resources database.
